Our Story
Haley and Aleck met in 2019. They were each other’s first and only Tinder date. Sometimes the algorithm really does work!
With a shared love for the Sierra Nevada and the foothills they both grew up in, it didn’t take long for them to start spending all their time together climbing, backpacking, swimming, and finding any other excuse to be together.
With 2020 came the pandemic. Haley and Aleck were living with their families, and the quarantine started to get in the way of all that time together. So they moved into a little cottage in Auburn. 2020 also brought Birdie into their lives. Haley drove 13 hours each way to adopt the 8 week old puppy in a marathon two-day trip.
Now Haley, Aleck, and Birdie are living a block from that first cottage, still spending every available minute together, ideally on a walk down to the American River or camping and climbing in their “backyard” in Tahoe National Forest. They are slowly and steadily luring all their friends and family into living within walking distance of them!
